I met my fan in November of 2004. I had no idea what I was getting into. We were friends and colleagues before we started dating and we have been together for more than five years. After scouring local libraries, bookstores and the internet for resources related to football and football fans, I took the lack of positive materials as the impetus to start writing. How could I possibly be the only person close to a fan who actually wanted to understand the game of football?
In this blog I want to teach you a few things about football and your fan by sharing my experiences through the season. You are not alone and you don’t have to compete with football for your fan’s attention and affection. With a little planning and a little help, I hope you will learn how to co-exist with (and maybe even enjoy) this sport that has captured the heart of your fan. Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you.
Excellent blog and excellent resource.
I plan to promote this site on my own blog and recommend it to all my friends with this caveat… Most people from the south, women included, are football fans. We know about astroturf. However, everyone can use a refresher on the finer points of the game! I had no idea what an audible was. Ok, I knew what it was, just didn’t know what it was called.
Hugs!
